Do you only walk dogs?
No, Trained Monkey Pet Service will care for all varieties of household pets including dogs, cats, rats, reptiles, birds or whatever you may have. Walking dogs is just a part of what I do.
What about walks?
My walks are normally 30 minutes in length and are generally private walks (no groups). Along with the walking, I reinforce basic commands such as "wait", "heel" and "sit". If you have other behaviors that need attention, I can also work on that.
How about the Dog Park Excursions?
My packs are small (4-6 dogs) so each dog can receive special attention and not get "lost in the shuffle". All dogs must be social and friendly and have a good "come" command. Also all dogs must be spayed or neutered, plus licensed in the City of Seattle. https://dea.seattle.gov/pets/GettingStarted.aspx
Puppies must be over 4 months of age, and of course all dogs must be up to date with vaccinations.
Each trip includes pick up and delivery to your house, and a minimum of one hour of supervised play at the park. During wet weather each dog will be toweled off to minimize mess upon return.
I need home care....
Trained Monkey provides home care to other types of household pets. I can visit once or twice a day depending on your needs. I also provide mail and newspaper pickup, lights on and off, and plant watering. I will check your house for security, pet accidents and other issues on each visit if you so desire.
What about boarding or staying overnight?
Trained Monkey currently does not offer this service on a regular basis but I have some wonderful recommendations for you if you need.
How do we start?
We begin by scheduling a free introductory meeting at a time convenient to you, to review your needs and meet our new animal friends. I will go over our policies and answer any questions you may have. If we feel that we are a good match, I will get keys from you at that time so that I can access your home. I will provide you with a basic contract that explains all policies and I will also gather emergency contact numbers, veterinarian information and other specifics of care for your pet.
